- y: ~  K' U; Y4 q; mOne night I had a dream
( W; e0 b- {7 [0 gI was walking along the beach with my Lord.) q7 [4 o3 J; w/ ~) ]1 Z. W
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
2 X" c+ A. }+ O. Y& uFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
/ j3 g' `7 O9 f% [) Gone belonging to me3 h& G$ v+ i) g- G- h% _/ q
and the other to my Lord.
# l+ R9 V0 \$ j; r8 v! R# c, gWhen the last scene of my life shot before me7 S% E/ Z8 k8 r3 U5 h
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.8 _2 H- P+ Q; a; [# b
There was only on set of footprints.# l* _, v4 v% i0 s# ~
I realized that this was at the lowest
* l! _$ W, h6 f2 Eand saddest times in my life.
2 u! B8 ]% M9 QThis always bothered me 4 D- @, S4 m( ~, o) B" v& B4 |' D5 |- q
and I questioned the Lord) p3 |7 j# K- I- ]2 V0 L- p1 W+ K; ~
about my dilemma.6 ~* ^/ b4 z* d6 M1 u
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
% E) f; t( l9 S. w( L' KYou would walk and talk with me all the way.% S9 `$ G8 M1 r
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome * M5 ~3 K  l$ U4 w) J3 _9 |# G
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
4 H6 Q- x% n% e! p: uI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
- V4 C) i& c& Q8 v$ e2 _you leave me."
