I was walking along the beach with my Lord. + o3 }+ ^- x1 M5 PAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life. d. q+ T) E/ L" x0 _+ \$ iFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, 5 O I' [' D P- V5 \3 ~one belonging to me. r( N/ Z: Y, s, n" \/ v; L
and the other to my Lord.+ h6 s/ H* I" a8 y
When the last scene of my life shot before me 4 c" f. c# M' x, v3 WI looked back at the footprints in the sand. & ]9 i* H0 d2 b+ }. `. UThere was only on set of footprints.! D7 X. a- ~1 V M
I realized that this was at the lowest ( t" P: G3 \! |, `, U& yand saddest times in my life.8 U7 `/ R2 q5 ]# Z& `7 Q% Y
This always bothered me 2 F' o' _: a! `
and I questioned the Lord1 a$ W6 ]4 _4 _* B- @; G
about my dilemma.: B2 S# y: y3 Q. G" X
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,5 Y$ H+ q" s/ r0 Z) O4 g
You would walk and talk with me all the way.2 T1 O6 K9 O% v7 C5 O$ J/ n. P9 ]
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome " x. s8 O# T: d! Gtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.1 Y5 _2 K; A( i+ x
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, % h) g, @% T; a( x) J2 N6 f
you leave me." 3 F q. w" g& [ K6 ^He whispered, "My precious, precious child, 8 @" t' Q6 `6 Q8 Y" `8 VI love you and will never leave you$ O+ n. l) o1 \6 }4 q" l& x& R
