In March 2016, the Canadian government introduced a new entry requirement, known as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), that applies to all visa-exempt foreign nationals travelling to or transiting Canada by air.
Effective 10 November 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals must have an eTA before they can board a Lufthansa flight to Canada. For application and an overview of affected nationalities please go to: Canada.ca/eTA
