Lord,
: |2 n3 h% v; J2 H0 B! a+ bhaving transformed$ o7 R( y# W, W# [9 I
sunshine and soil and water and seed,5 i2 l3 K, D) j C
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
7 D D9 |" G g7 N! Q2 Dwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
* O' x5 K0 k/ [so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
! F* f/ s' {" @We who came first and are ready to dine
( {% C+ }; S2 l" ~thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, 1 y/ r7 v; J- [) a+ T3 i
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
( ~& C7 {* V2 D* q8 z8 ^2 R* J& lwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
4 S* X- K9 T# k) o5 j3 _9 O# Q# HInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 6 |7 m6 I/ m2 _/ U4 G' `( d5 V
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted ; H) D D7 x O* e: Z. d
