Lord, 9 x9 z+ C; W$ M K Z
having transformed7 C7 U: J9 D0 G1 k& B9 b9 O2 `0 }
sunshine and soil and water and seed,% g, Q# J% r! \9 }8 C
into food upon which we are soon to feed, + J3 y; g- J0 g% J
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
' G$ w; ~$ R' ]" Hso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
. \! h2 }0 { C) F! p! hWe who came first and are ready to dine
8 S& c3 T: k6 X. [- M& q9 Othank you that we’re not still waiting in line, % g& V( P4 z: K7 x. J1 j( c8 ]
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
" x& z+ y9 [" P' wwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
: W b' ]6 ]: {Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 7 O$ Q* _6 W) ]
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.8 b! M1 A6 ?2 f4 K0 ]6 f

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
