Footprints in the Sand; }4 ~+ {- f) K  L
& y( y! K1 J' h7 \: I& e4 q
One night I had a dream
& [/ F5 V7 V4 j. t1 HI was walking along the beach with my Lord.2 j1 k: ~- |- b' V- D7 {; u
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.' h8 I8 ?4 ~* \* n
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,$ U* _6 O/ V! g9 T4 E6 K
one belonging to me
! r1 O+ g4 }# g/ f; I+ P  o- fand the other to my Lord.
, O2 H; v# P6 ^3 d$ \When the last scene of my life shot before me
2 U/ ^. H1 Z: |8 G: G; J. WI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
8 p5 D3 b3 s% V: y" }There was only on set of footprints.
% y  `) H8 w3 YI realized that this was at the lowest : |. g: e% }& V! b7 m
and saddest times in my life.6 X/ u7 a- D  T
This always bothered me ! N- Y& C1 _" j2 T
and I questioned the Lord
$ L. y" p9 K2 R/ q1 Jabout my dilemma.
% X$ s! _- \) D) o. k"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,* A2 @5 ^" r( f! p$ h
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
6 V. `& ]8 a) v0 t2 j4 ~But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
+ B9 A- m: ~4 }: A" btimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
6 C* E% o  t9 o$ o' L# s! eI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
& \7 E: h$ b) }5 m9 i  h4 Fyou leave me.". ^8 ^) A  H* r& r% |3 y
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
+ d9 N/ B9 }% j( nI love you and will never leave you7 v- d% i  @0 Z! U; P% c7 v4 _7 I
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.( i6 C1 u- d6 c" _
When you saw only one set of footprints
