Lord,
% \/ \2 S2 q, m0 Z7 s, C% vhaving transformed
1 }, U7 A4 ~( h+ P5 xsunshine and soil and water and seed,: r0 G: W. D' m
into food upon which we are soon to feed, ! ` K C( i) U! S
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, 2 Y1 F5 r# Z5 S
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.) P# V1 A) U* F
We who came first and are ready to dine* s& X# {2 E& }+ R. c, N
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
% E9 {' }9 H3 u9 ~; U* t' ]3 ?but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, X9 k. N- i+ }+ u8 Q
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.; w7 k6 P9 {: m1 p( \: H
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others ) M' E! ~( [* a% g
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.
