having transformed, k; u h3 T/ t3 F6 c1 P/ O( B
sunshine and soil and water and seed,! S# k+ N) |. y, N) k7 D
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
) Q$ h4 c2 ^/ C* Z% ^we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
2 Y) o. }+ J+ A }- @2 D7 C* G0 ?/ sso we promise to rub our hands with Purell./ [' |$ b! W: |5 ]4 q
We who came first and are ready to dine
; K; E) u& w/ v+ ]- G' { Kthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, " L" N0 b8 C$ Y+ V, T' e
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 9 R6 c4 v7 l+ R; v0 \2 e
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.5 D @4 s9 s/ o% ]# V8 [7 s: ^
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others $ n6 D0 v6 m, ~0 ]( y c
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
