having transformed n& ]) N/ E, j- [- b5 T
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
) }( ]/ E' W4 ?( |0 P6 F4 P- P* Ninto food upon which we are soon to feed, # z* B z0 b7 n p' _9 w
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
6 K& C4 [( g. ~% \" k: @; Pso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.) G) k- F. Q- k
We who came first and are ready to dine. @; t# ]& Z( I2 Y$ {6 @0 v8 ?
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, 4 ~( ?6 i% n( k2 p
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, : F; p @( o$ J* R
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
. L$ ^9 l* Z2 W0 m6 X( i3 }Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others . V1 K0 A- u& P$ \
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
