# `2 M' [  i( w8 V  _One night I had a dream
; \& n$ u4 M0 ]I was walking along the beach with my Lord., `- E* M% R* p5 e
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.: l2 ]/ i2 K- u  ?, C+ e+ Q
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
0 A; l% F& r" ^/ X9 s8 f+ ^3 d  }4 @one belonging to me
! W5 `% L: W- N3 G5 T( Q& r* W  z1 |) [and the other to my Lord.
; F5 i; z- j* y- q2 mWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
) }/ u* R" T' `, BI looked back at the footprints in the sand.  m5 ?2 p9 a6 G! M. Y& u! ?; w
There was only on set of footprints.
  c9 p- {% y0 Z/ D- {4 i( z* zI realized that this was at the lowest # \0 Z( Q& h! b
and saddest times in my life.; t5 z* ?6 w9 O
This always bothered me
4 L1 s' c4 f6 O- l$ M/ r- ~and I questioned the Lord8 i' v2 a+ b$ w: J, o2 W
about my dilemma.
% j& ^8 P, G$ t/ e5 `"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
: ]: G0 r# q2 c0 @7 g) cYou would walk and talk with me all the way.  v! d, U% D7 K' c% ^
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome $ o9 U2 v1 V( M6 q
times of my life there is only one set of footprints./ c+ O) |! a: y6 A" J
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
- b% p$ b5 V0 Q: s% Byou leave me."
) ?  I* v* U/ I! K+ uHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
# T2 c2 \1 ~/ w) wI love you and will never leave you4 X) \# q* e( r/ T* q5 s. Z
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
