Footprints in the Sand

$ Y& E* P# z( |  hOne night I had a dream
8 d* c4 @# R5 f, f. H9 O3 UI was walking along the beach with my Lord.; n; M) O! h0 z& w: J
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
# z' m4 r, j  rFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
) }6 G. P9 Q/ L3 @one belonging to me" T" {1 D  F* @5 `1 i
and the other to my Lord.
( ]# B, A- w6 k0 V- ?+ `$ DWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
/ m. f; p3 ^5 t; U' i- |I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
  Y( I' p6 _6 b$ ]$ eThere was only on set of footprints.
/ Y& P: H  t- X; s+ qI realized that this was at the lowest 8 \! `. K: J: o1 p
and saddest times in my life.
# j' c9 z) g8 Q. U7 d4 wThis always bothered me . Q& i+ q/ ^, d4 P
and I questioned the Lord' a- ^) }2 \2 ]# {1 l4 q9 k
about my dilemma.
* K: Q9 `1 y0 o; V"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 O- g( a8 b% t0 h2 {" T
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
2 q) i0 _( e$ J3 I. OBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome ) M6 r/ p4 s/ c+ r/ F/ c
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
" v/ O1 V$ D1 m3 {I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
" H7 a5 c# @# W6 |8 c* |" v( C( oyou leave me."" |1 g) I6 `+ X. N% O3 r
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,2 s) b* ~$ T$ V0 `

When you saw only one set of footprints
