Footprints in the Sand

! b2 m- Y& \- g7 m( K8 R3 LOne night I had a dream
! @  S1 S  Q1 u1 F: tI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
4 K8 f: R! }* b1 Y% k: {! l/ C& cAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.* n3 |& N7 E" X/ D( Y' l
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,( y, \2 x+ {* B4 k
one belonging to me
, x- u* K1 u/ r. @$ ]; Xand the other to my Lord.' W6 C; Z& A) n! m, H
When the last scene of my life shot before me& s& a: {& b: B( Q
I looked back at the footprints in the sand./ X; g- X' V! N6 d
There was only on set of footprints.) V* X0 u+ o! ?: i$ S; O4 O7 A. C
I realized that this was at the lowest ) p. \! q1 _% d3 U0 r) b! ]5 ~
and saddest times in my life.- m) G( w6 G# Z2 O3 a
This always bothered me " v6 `3 c+ B/ b- r) p& A
and I questioned the Lord* z1 ^0 F2 @1 Z. k0 h1 S( r+ n
about my dilemma.
, z6 _  y1 c+ g( }  f9 ]"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,* t. ~$ e9 L$ r8 O. h
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
  W  I! M  g/ d; H8 |But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
+ _$ t6 Z5 ?: L4 R* @. ?( dtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.1 G& M* |9 n/ B9 y  u$ ?2 w
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
* ~, k; l0 x" E. y- v& x6 [2 eyou leave me."

I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints
