9 q. o1 L7 U- D) I7 h8 ]One night I had a dream, ~) J0 g1 C+ k' l' p3 m
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
  D( p) x1 V2 O  k2 J: N, y& ]$ I( r( [Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 z2 |( e. V5 v. Y
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
" m3 s3 ~# S! r0 k' v. E5 rone belonging to me+ G( ^1 ^2 z) x2 A: T5 S( }
and the other to my Lord.
( ]' W' k6 r6 M( o& d; oWhen the last scene of my life shot before me' K% F4 q+ k- m4 D3 W7 r/ {5 G
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
$ O1 W9 h0 R& N! j6 B* {5 ^There was only on set of footprints.$ `* u5 L9 \( C
I realized that this was at the lowest . ]+ _: C& X6 [5 o: M" q
and saddest times in my life.$ \4 k% G4 a/ X* u
This always bothered me ! k9 \6 j$ u8 r$ O1 R0 ^
and I questioned the Lord
5 m" ^8 r) f0 c+ ?' P6 @about my dilemma.5 g$ [2 n+ u4 G
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,5 b2 f% i* ~* U$ I, Z
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
8 r9 X* P- w) s* \- C2 _. _But I'm aware that during the most troublesome % W) c) j' }2 H& d9 [+ G
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
' m) Y" j6 t% N9 x6 W, KI don't understand why, when I needed You most, : y5 A1 `* q. h6 }* p! q
you leave me."
/ b, D! H2 H/ n" A2 i! D+ X3 MHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
1 t( v0 G( n  b: Z$ H& ]* QI love you and will never leave you8 n3 b6 n, G2 K# K
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
) f7 @0 R6 \! M  \' UWhen you saw only one set of footprints  K; r+ T% F. W- l  c: |/ S
It was then that I carried you."
