Footprints in the Sand! f0 {- M7 t$ P; [9 e, o5 t
; }( o6 T6 ]  H) X9 D
One night I had a dream
* t, j9 x! W! {' g) F% \6 cI was walking along the beach with my Lord.
  a. \* x! n# g% k3 P4 n# d: {2 pAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life." h2 R7 C+ G( v
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
& ?: v' z& ^5 {2 Sone belonging to me' l9 u& \5 `& N0 k* {+ a
and the other to my Lord.
0 C3 ]# E8 G: z; C( g; FWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
7 V0 y: v$ J$ K1 XI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
1 p/ m' g& w- x; Y/ I! FThere was only on set of footprints.
- R/ d8 T, |2 @! [% ~# D& PI realized that this was at the lowest
" Z; e  k3 @5 R% {" `& Oand saddest times in my life.
. P. _5 |4 h$ }9 D; j8 Q: iThis always bothered me 3 D4 u' W7 {" M3 i! [3 \# b
and I questioned the Lord
" Q& Q# A  f1 {about my dilemma.$ g- y" V0 Q1 W+ J! s
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
% v. j: F6 @' u5 b, pYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
- R: b0 |! V8 N: t: @But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
! d" W& o! b% Y1 k, j" ktimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.) N& M: ~; v6 q2 E2 q
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! ]$ M6 ?0 y3 l' U2 U3 b
you leave me."( s! t9 D' s! ~) t+ {
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
# L7 d/ B/ a8 c) {/ L. NI love you and will never leave you) f$ R& R: E2 H4 L7 _
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.( \! {7 H/ w, z" ^, [- F4 T
When you saw only one set of footprints2 {! W, X0 e# b( i, `! ~) G
It was then that I carried you."
